Happy Halloween

I decided to try Blake's Halloween costume on him the other night. Since he was actually keeping it on, we decided to take pictures just in case the actual night doesn't go so swell. There is a handkerchief that goes around the neck. (it is supposed to be a horse or pony if you can't tell!)

Fall Cold

Last week Blake had the nasty cold that has been going around. It lasted for 8 days. One particular evening he had been sleeping for 20-30 minutes and he started coughing like crazy on all drainage in his throat. By the time I got into his bedroom and picked him up, he started gagging and threw up everywhere. He ate a late dinner and went to bed early - so nothing digested...plus he had a bottle right before bed. So I'll let you picture that! :( Zack was helping me clean the carpet, and we ended up having an extra helper. He thought it was so cool to help dad stomp on the towel. So he helped. Then he kept running at me with the camera. And we made him brush his teeth because he kept wanting to kiss us and man, oh, man - we both about threw up! :) He's all better now!!

And the last photo is one day when Kaci stopped for a visit while he wasn't feeling well. He never does this anymore - he's always on the go. She felt super special and felt we needed to capture the moment! He loves his Aunt "Acie."

?! Kisses Anyone ?!

Blake has recently discovered the Oreo cookie jar. He will walk me over to the sink (the jar sits kind of close to it), and he will say "Up." So I pick him up, and he points to the jar. I will say, "Do you want a cookie?" And he does his nice little grunt that sort of sounds like yes. :)

And my favorite part of the story is that he eats them JUST like his DAD! He seriously twists the cookie until it splits in half. Then he will only eat the cream from the middle, and he throw the two half down and wants another. That is exactly what his dad does - although sometimes Zack will eat the half that had the cream on it. It's so cute. I will have to do a video sometime. And even though Blaker only eats the middle....he still manages to make this mess EVERY time!

Misc. Photos

So I rearranged the living room last week, and I decided to move Blake's toys from an overflowing basket to this trunk. It used to be Zack's toy box, so I thought it would be nice for Blaker to use it as his since we leave most of the toys in our living room. Since I've made the transition, he now thinks it's great to empty most of the toys out and then sit inside as you can see! Whatever keeps him busy.....

Caught in action, buddy! :)

Wearing Uncle Bubba's football helmet. Blaker wasn't too sure of this...but Dad made him put it on for a photo....mean dad! :) Just kidding!

So a few weeks ago, Blake was WAY overtired, and ended up finding both of his blankets...his favorite blue one and the back up green one. He insisted on having them both for his nap...once again I say "whatever works!"

Goin' to the park....

Sara was back for a visit this week. We took the kids to the Kiddie Land Park. Zion got to drive Blake's John Deere Gator, and Paige was the (very happy) passenger! It was so much fun. It took Zion about half way there to figure how to steer it, but we made it. Once we got to the park, all of the kids wanted to play on the Gator, so we went back home and played in the yard! I just think this is an awesome photo of these two...shows their personalities so much!

Kathy's Pumpkin Patch

Blake and Sterling had so much fun at the pumpkin patch. We were short on time, but maybe we can head back and take a hayride or horse ride....there's so much to do there!

Blake & Aija

Blake and Aija have been playing well together. Although, last night Blake decided to act like his cousin Ava and wrestle Aija! She took it like a champ.

MRSA Staph Infection

A few weeks ago, we had to take Blake to the doctor because he had an infection on his wrist. It was really gross. If he would grab on to a toy or just play with something, ooze would just run down his arm. After visiting the doctor and her squeezing this sore until it was literally a hole to get a culture, we discovered it was for sure staph infection. And leave it to us, it is MRSA staph infection which is resistant to several medications. We switched meds, and he is now doing well. I'm really trying to keep it from scarring, but I'm afraid it is going too.

And this all happened two days after he had his eye surgery to fix his blocked tear ducts. :( Poor thing. I felt awful for him. But he's doing well!

Football Games

Here are a few pictures from one of the high school football games. We've been attending all of the home games. Blake absolutely loves going. As you can see, we sit on the hill with blankets and toys. He plays really well, and he actually enjoys watching the game as well. He loves to clap when the crowd cheers loud!
