New Toy

This is a new toy we have for Blake. It's actually not new, he's just starting to like it! :) He gets that one leg going and kicks the ball all around. We're so happy he's starting to enjoy being on his back! :)

Still Working on Rolling Over

As we said before, Blake rolls over in his sleep, but he just seems to have difficulty doing it awake! lol Here are a couple pictures of him rolling over. He can get all the way over, but that arm just literally is stuck. He is so funny to watch because he burries his face first, then the legs come over, and then the belly. The whole time he tries, he grunts and makes loud noises. Too cute!

Our Christmas Tree

We decided to put up our Christmas tree tonight. I don't have the topper on yet because a friend of mine is hopefully going to make it with ribbon. Zack actually helped, and Blake sat and watched us - but he was more interested in kicking his feet and sucking on that fist! :)

Thanksgiving in Chicago

Here are a few pictures of our trip to Chicago. We had a great time visiting all of the family. Blake was such a good boy the whole time, which we were happy about that!

Zion was such a big boy the whole trip. We found ourselves very entertained by him.

This guy was amazing. Sorry the photo is the wrong way - but you can still tell what's going on. It was very neat to watch him do this. Everyone's face was hilarious while watching him.

Alexis and Sara stopped for a pose! We all had a great time.

After a long day of being held and passed around, Blake was pooped. He actually snored for most of the night! :)

Blake slept pretty much the whole time we were downtown. While he was awake he was very curious. It was cute to watch him look around - and of course the lights caught his attention!

Ava was super tired and fell asleep when we headed home!

Blake was so glad to be able to lay and strech when we got back on the train to head home! He was such a good boy!

Enjoying A Bath

Blake is enjoying his baths more and more. He used to cry the whole time, but now he's starting to splash the water everywhere and smile. When he's tired, he just likes to lay his head against the side and hang out. It's so cute! He enjoyed tonight because his daddy was watching.

Rolling Over

The last few nights we have woke up to Blake laying on his tummy, so we know that he is rolling over, we just have yet to see it. Yesterday, he finally started to show us that he can do it, but after several minutes, Zack decided to help him get over. It was cute. He's also trying to sit up constantly. In his car seat, he gets upset because he can't sit up more. I can't help but laugh when he gets mad!

Here's the start. That left arm just kept getting in the way.

Just a close up....he was smiling the whole time he was trying to roll over. Such a happy boy in the morning!!

And we finally made it over with a little help from dad!

Inside Our Home

Here are some pictures of our house. I didn't take any of the third level, but it's an old apartment that we are not renting out, and have no plan to use it right now. We have plenty of space with the main floor and basement!

THE UPSTAIRS...

The Living Room - We love the new couch. The last few days, Blake will only stay asleep for naps if I lay him here. It's comfy!

Our Bedroom - We love our bed. It is very high, so I have to use the running board to get up there. Blake likes it too!

The Bathroom - Um, that's it....the bathroom! :) haha

Blake's Bedroom - We have chosen to decorate his bedroom in an All-Star sports theme. We haven't put much up on the walls yet, but we're working on it!

The Hallway - This leads to Blake's room, our bedroom, and the bathroom.

The Red Room - I find myself calling it this, but it is really like our office. The desk is to the left in this room.

The Kitchen - Sorry the photo is crooked. I was standing with the camera behind me so I could fit it all in one picture. :)

Dining Area - There is a back door here that goes out onto a big deck.

The Bedroom - We may turn this into a TV room, but we haven't decided yet. So for now, it is a guest bedroom.

The Bathroom - I plan on getting matching curtains. Just haven't got around to that yet.

And last but not least....the washer and dryer. :)

Shiver Fest '06

We also went to the Shiver Fest in Donnellson over the weekend to watch Aaron race. Blake slept through the whole thing (and they made us pay $20 to let him in the pits - ridiculous!). We had a nice big heater going in the trailer. I was nice and warm with Blake strapped to me. haha It was a lot of fun!

Nap Time....

Blake's been playing with his pacifier a lot lately. He is constantly taking it out and then getting mad because he wants it. It's a constant battle for all of us. :) Yes, we spoil him! Anyway - a cute picture and thought I'd share!!

Blake's First Trip

We headed to the Quad Cities over the weekend to watch Kaci peform "Thriller" before the Timberwolves vs. Pacers game. It was a lot of fun and a very much needed trip for the three of us (really just Zack and I). It was so nice to get away and have a good time!

Kaci enjoyed every minute of dressing like this! It was cute!

Bundle Up...

We went to Mt. Hamill last night and it was a little chilly, so we bundled Blake up. I ended up taking the shoes off because I just didn't think a baby that small looked normal with shoes. :) He didn't seem to mind them though and they're almost too small! Zack thinks he looks like a little man with the shoes and pants. :)

Jacob was over this evening. He enjoyed playing with all of Blake's toys. Here is playing with a chainsaw. He had a good time. He's growing up and getting so big!

For Uncle Luke

Luke, we took this picture tonight just for you. We were heading to Granny and Papa Tom's house to feed Champ. We went along so we would fall asleep in the car. It worked! Anyway, just wanted to share with you. :)

We're finally feeling better! Blake was just chatting away to me and smiling. This is how he is whenever he wakes up the past few days. So cute!

Blake's Doctor Visit

Blake had his 6-week check-up Friday. Everything went really well. He weighed 11 lbs 7 oz and was 23 inches long. He likes to eat if you haven't noticed! :) He got three shots, and that part wasn't so fun. He was very fussy for four days. Today has finally been better.

What a weekend....

Brian, Erin, and the girls came to visit us this weekend. We had a great time. I've posted some pictures of our new guitar PlayStation game....and yes, we ALL played it (several times actually)! It was a good time. Ava even got her little fingers going.... :) I think Alexis enjoyed it the most...well, Zack was right there with her! haha Brian, of course, had the moves to go along with the playing! And Erin and I.....well we were normal. ha ha

Lovin' No Clothes!

Blake loved no clothes today. It was really cute. I think he's going to have that ornery grin like his dad!!! Does anyone else think so?!
